Cranston Police On The Lookout For Shrimp Thief

CRANSTON, RI — Cranston police are asking for the public's help in identifying the woman who is accused of stealing $100 worth of shrimp from a city grocery store on September 13. The young woman drove off in a black SUV, police said.

Surveillance photos posted by Cranston police show a petite young woman, believed to be in her 20s, wearing a black t-shirt and red yoga pants. According to police, she took approximately $100 worth of frozen shrimp and walked past the registers at the Atwood Avenue Stop and Shop. When loss prevention employees approached her, she ran away and drove off in a black SUV.
