Cranston Skater wins Pairs Title at U.S. Championships

Marissa Castelli, of Cranston, and her partner Simon Shnapir took home the pairs short program title at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships yesterday.

They finished with 62.27 points, which put them far ahead of the nearest skaters, Felicia Zhang and Nathan Bartholomay, who trailed by nine points.

The win comes ont the heels of the pair's bronze-medal performance at the NHK Tropy competition last year.
