The Cranston West Little League team earned a spot in the regional championship after a 7-1 win against South Burlington, VT, on Sunday.
The team will now play New Hampshire for a chance to go to Williamsport and the Little League World Series.
The team was propelled to victory after getting a quick 5-run lead. Pitcher Nick Mason struck out 7 and kept Vermont scoreless during his 5 and 2/3 innings.
