Drive By Shooting In Cranston Sunday: Police Arrest Two & Seize Loaded Glock
A drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon in Cranston led to two arrests, according to Maj. Todd Patalano.

CRANSTON, RI β A drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon in Cranston led to two arrests, according to Maj. Todd Patalano. Police also seized a loaded 9mm semi-automatic and narcotics. The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. near 176 Terrace Ave. No injuries were immediately reported, but police are checking hospitals.
According to Cranston police, callers reported several gun shots fired. Officers responded, found shell casings in the road and confirmed the shooting had occurred. The investigation indicated a passenger in a gray Jeep fired at another vehicle. Both drivers fled. But shortly after, police found the Jeep in the parking lot at Laundry Connection at 400 Dyer Ave. The driver was not in the car, but the passenger matched the shooter's description.
The driver was later found hiding in a closet inside the laundry. Officers obtained a search warrant for the Jeep and the Glock.

Local hospitals and surrounding agencies were notified of this shooting incident and no victims have been identified at this time, police said.
The alleged shooter and passenger of the grey Jeep, Christian Castle, age 21, of Pawtucket, was charged with Drive By Shooting; Conspiracy; License/Permit Required to Carry a Firearm; Possession of Arms by a Person Convicted of a Crime of Violence; Carrying a Firearm while Committing a Crime of Violence; Firing Across a Highway; Firing in a Compact Area; and Possession with Intent to Deliver. Police allege he had more than 100 pills of the narcotic Xanax on him when he was taken into custody.

The alleged operator of the Jeep, Adam Gallucci, age 22, of Cranston, RI was charged with Drive By Shooting; Conspiracy; and License/Permit Required to Carry a Firearm 11-47-8
Both Castle and Gallucci were held overnight as violators and will be brought to Kent County Courthouse in the morning for arraignment.
