Electrical Issues Close Cranston DMV Headquarters Early
The DMV stopped accepting new customers at 10:45 a.m. due to an issue with the building's air conditioning system.
CRANSTON, RI — The Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles headquarters on New London Avenue closed early Friday due to a power issue. The department stopped accepting new customers at 10:45 a.m. because of a problem with the building's air conditioning system.
According to a message posted on the department's website, the a power disruption at the Pastore Complex is causing issues with the air conditioning system.
Paul Grimaldi, a spokesperson for the department of revenue, said that all customers who came into the building before 10:45 a.m. will be served, but no new customers will be accepted for the rest of the day.
