Gas Prices Continue To Fall In RI
According to AAA Northeast, gas prices fell an average of two cents per gallon last week.

Gas prices are once again on the decline across Rhode Island. According to AAA Northeast, the average price per gallon fell two cents last week to $2.34 per gallon for regular, unleaded gasoline.
The price in considerably lower than a year ago, when the average cost per gallon was twenty three cents higher at $2.57.
Rhode Island is eight cents higher than the national average of $2.26 per gallon.

“While half the country saw price increases last week, states in the northeast continue to see small but steady price decreases,” said Lloyd Albert, AAA Northeast Senior Vice President of Public and Government Affairs in a press release. “Gasoline supplies here are very strong and have been able to offset any rises in the price of oil or increased consumer demand.”
In Rhode Island, gas prices currently range from $2.19 to $2.59 per gallon. Premium unleaded gasoline averaged $2.81 per gallon, while diesel averaged $3.03.
