Girls' Indoor Track Teams Lose Two
Neither the girls of East nor West began the new campaign exactly as they would have liked.
Both the Falcons of Cranston West and Thunderbolts of Cranston East lost a pair of meets to begin their new seasons last night in Providence.
The Falcons were defeated by the Sentinels of Smithfield, 83-26, and the Avengeres from East Greenwich, 72-34. Pilgrim's Patriots and the Knights of Central Falls victimized the Thunderbolts, 104-2 and 79-20, respectively.
Both teams will return to Providence January 4, when the Falcons will compete with representatives of Lincoln High School and North Kingstown, and the Thunderbolts will encounter Rogers' Vikings and the Hurricanes of Warwick Veterans High School.
