The school closed Friday after a bout of illnesses and an investigation by the state Health Department. Schools Supt. Jeannine Nota-Masse has decided to close the school on Friday for a thorough cleaning after the health department indicated the norovirus or similar bug might have caused the sickness.
"We are also disinfecting/cleaning buses that were used to transport Gladstone children after school," she wrote. "Our food service vendor will be addressing their particular working areas tomorrow and thoroughly cleaning as well."
