Gov. Gina Raimondo shares dinner with Syrian refugees

Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo shared a meal with Syrian refugees in Cranston, RI on February 1st.

Last night I shared a meal with the Al-Hariri family, who fled Syria, to let them know that there's a place in Rhode Island for everyone. I met them last year, not long after they arrived in Rhode Island. Their story, and their light and strength through difficult times, is an inspiration- and a reminder that we can't lose sight of those fleeing oppression

We will resist hate, and refuse to let fear dictate our actions. Rhode Island will not close the door on those who need us most.

-Gov. Gina Raimondo
