Here's Why Isabella Was Shouted Out As A Star Student In Cranston
We all know students who excel in academics, fine arts, or volunteer service. Here's one resident who is having an impact in Cranston.

CRANSTON, RI — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Johnny Kue who nominated Isabella Ba of Cranston. Kue works as Ba's advisor for college.

How do you know the star local student?
As an advisor for college.
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
I believe Isabella Ba should be recognized because of the exceptional human being that she is. She is very involved in many school organizations and groups and her contributions to her school community demonstrate her commitment to the well-being of others. She is selfless in her actions and will never seek recognition for it. She continues to do great things out of the goodness of her heart. Isabella is the Battalion Commander of the JROTC at Cranston East. She has been involved in the JROTC program for all four years of high school. She is the Class President of her Senior and also the President of her National Honor Society Class. She is involved in their Theather department and had performed in various plays throughout the last three years. She is part of the Bolts Broadcasting team and serves as an East Ambassador for her school. Isabella also takes part with Cranston Police Explorers. While doing all this, she still has to fulfill her responsibilities as a full-time student. She is just the epitome of what a star student should be. She is a humble soul but I think her accomplishments should be recognized accordingly.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
She will always help those who need it the most but are the least likely to advocate for themselves.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Isabella Ba!
