Inmate Threatens to Kill Correctional Officers

Two anonymous letters were sent.

Three correctional officers at the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston were threatened to be killed in anonymous letters sent from within the state prison.

The president of the union that represents correctional officers said that the letters were discovered Monday and had been sent through the prison’s interdepartmental mail.

The letters made specific threats against the three officers and were signed ISIS.

Troubling was the fact that the letters listed their home addresses and had descriptions of their vehicles.

The ACI and state police are investigating, according to Richard Ferruccio, president of the union.
