Kitten Saved from Drainpipe

The critter was trapped in a drainpipe at Johnston's Briarcliffe Campus.

Akshay Talwar, who owns and operates the Briarcliffe Healthcare Campus, rescued an eight-week-old kitten last week that accidentally got caught in a drainpipe outside his home.

The Cranston Herald reported that Talwar called Paul Anderson Drain Cleaning of Warwick to place a camera down the pipe to determine the location of the kitten and what could be done to rescue it.

Anderson and his assistant Josh made their way to Johnston. The kitten had burrowed down some 26 feet into the pipe, which ran underneath a landscaped area in front of Talwar’s house. Anderson and Josh cut the pipe open to retrieve the kitten, who is now named PJ in honor of the pair.
