Latest Rhode Island Weather Forecast: More Downpours Monday
The national weather service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Monday and notes a possibility of severe thunderstorms.

CRANSTON, RI—The National Weather Service's Taunton, Mass., office has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Rhode Island for Monday into Tuesday. The forecast calls for heavy rain and more localized flooding, similar to what happened Friday afternoon and evening. Here is the forecast.
"There is the threat of heavy rain which could lead to localized flooding, especially in urban and poor-drainage areas. In addition, the Storm Prediction Center has the region outlook for a SLIGHT to ENHANCED risk of severe weather, calling for scattered to numerous severe storms possible, respectively. Such a threat does exist for large hail and damaging winds, however we feel such a threat for Southern New England is mainly confined to north and west areas of MA and CT."
If so, Rhode Island should escape the brunt of it. But the forecasters are not calling for a sunny day until Thursday.
