Local Couple Vying for $20,000 Wedding Giveaway

Stephanie Fanning and Christopher Harrell are finalists in an essay contest and currently stand at second place for a $20,000 wedding giveaway.

The Cranston couple need your vote to win and voting ends today at 3 p.m.

"As you know, weddings cost a lot of money and we need this because we have to pay for it ourselves," Fanning said in a YouTube video.

The happy couple has been through a lot recently with visits to the hospital and coping with a layoff, according to an essay posted on the couple's blog.

The prize consists of $20,000 in donations from local vendors. Photographer Jen Osojnicki came up with the contest last year.
