Man Breaks Into Target, Movie Theater At Warwick Mall, Steals Shirt, Liquor: Police

Police say Alcides Medina broke glass doors with a rock at the Target and cinema at the Warwick Mall, before stealing a shirt and liquor.

WARWICK, RI — Warwick police issued an arrest warrant for a many they said broke into the Target at the Warwick Mall on Tuesday, threw a rock and broke doors into the store, and stole a shirt.

Police said Alcides Medina III, 33, broke into the store around 3:45 a.m. According to police, Medina, threw a rock, breaking both the exterior and interior glass doors to the store.

Employees who were inside the store when Medina broke in described him as a "short, skinny, white male, with tattoos who was shirtless and wearing jeans," police said. Witnesses told officers the man, later identified as Medina, stole a red and black flannel shirt and then left immediately, according to police.

Officers flooded the area, and a K-9 unit was called in to track Medina, but they were not able to find him.

As the investigation unfolded, police said they learned Medina also broke into the Apple Cinemas at the Warwick Mall, before Target, in a similar fashion. Police said Medina stole a bottle of liquor from the bar inside.
