Man Facing DUI Charges After Hitting 35 Vehicles In Providence
Providence police arrested the man after he was spotted slowly driving through Providence, hitting parked vehicles along the way.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A Foster man is facing DUI charges after hitting 35 vehicles with his car on Tuesday night.
Christopher Paolissi, 44, was seen driving through the Elmwood Avenue area just after 4:30 p.m. at approximatley 15 miles per hour, hitting numerous parked cars along the way before police were able to get him to stop.
According to Providence police, 34 of the 35 vehicles that were struck were parked an unoccupied, and no injuries were reported by the driver of the occupied vehicle.

Paolissi was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he submitted to a DUI blood test and he is being treated for minor injuries. He has been charged with one count of DUI, one count of reckless driving and one count of duty to stop, attended vehicle.
