National Weather Service Issues High Wind Advisory
The forecast applies to all of Rhode Island and means power outages and downed tree limbs are possible.

TAUNTON, MA—While Northern New England has to deal with snow, Rhode Island will be under a wind and gale advisory, starting at 7 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Dec. 29.
The wind advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. tomorrow. It covers all of Rhode Island and parts of Massachusetts.
Expect winds out of the West at 10 to 20 mph but gusting up to 50 mph. The worst of it is expected between 7 p.m. tonight and 3 a.m. tomorrow.

The wind gusts could result in downed trees and tree limbs and isolated power outages. Driving can also be difficult.
