New Balance will open its first Rhode Island retail location right here in Cranston.
The new store will open this fall in Garden City Center, according to The Wilder Companies, which manages the popular destination shopping center.
“The arrival of New Balance’s first and only Rhode Island store to Garden City Center brings a strong brand name with a loyal consumer following,” said Deb DiMeo, vice president of Leasing for The Wilder Companies. “Garden City is a one stop shopping destination for fitness aficionados. They can get their gear from Lululemon Athletica and New Balance and then head over to L.A. Fitness for a workout. As we continue to expand Garden City Center, we are working to add unique retailers that our shoppers demand and that are exclusive to Garden City Center. New Balance fits those goals perfectly.”

The new store is being opened by Michael Disibio, a Board Certified Pedorthist and owner. He said that the store’s emphasis will be on one-on-one attention with a particular focus on fitting.
“We are a family-owned New Balance licensee coming from Connecticut and are excited to have our newest location opening in Rhode Island,” Disibio said. “Specializing in fit and service, we look forward to being part of the community supporting runners, walkers, and everything in between.”
