New Name for RI Law Firm as Merger Creates O’Leary Murphy LLC
Cranston's Chris Murphy Named Partner of O'Leary Murphy LLC
O’Leary Law has announced the firm has expanded and enhanced its team with the addition of highly-regarded attorney Christopher Murphy, who has merged with the firm as a partner. Headquartered in Warwick, R.I., the firm is now named O’Leary Murphy, LLC.
The addition of Murphy reflects the firm’s growth strategy and efforts to better service its clients.
“Chris brings a depth of experience to our firm and is a tremendous asset as we continue to grow and offer more legal support, guidance and representation to our clients,” said Sean O’Leary, senior partner of O’Leary Murphy. “We are thrilled he has merged with us as a partner.”

"I am pleased to congratulate both Sean O'Leary and Chris Murphy on their partnership and growth of the the firm headquartered here in Warwick," said Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian. "It's wonderful to see a local business that was started by O'Leary's father 40 years ago, continue to grow and thrive in our community."
Cranston Mayor Allan Fung was among those present at the recent announcement.

“What’s really important is we have to focus on guys like them (O’Leary and Murphy) and make sure they have the ability to stay in business and expand and thrive and most importantly, help Rhode Islanders.” said Fung. “I’m proud to support them.”
Previously, Murphy, a resident of Cranston and graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law, owned and operated his own Warwick-based firm, specializing in criminal defense. A four-time Super Lawyer Rising Star (2012-2015) recipient, Murphy, 41, also has extensive experience in business and corporate law as well as real estate.
Teresa Carberry is also a new addition to the O’Leary-Murphy team. Carberry has joined the firm as a paralegal. Carberry, of Warwick, previously worked as a paralegal for the Warwick Police Department, a position she held for more than a dozen years.
“Terry has extensive experience as a paralegal,” said O’Leary. “She is a great addition to our team.”
