Obituary: James "Frog" Richard Smith, 56

James Smith, 56, of Portsmouth, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.

Born in Newport, RI on June 16, 1958, he was the son of Mary (Rodrigues) Plumley of Portsmouth, RI and the late James Edward Smith.

Mr. Smith worked as a truck driver for many years in Florida. He loved fishing. He also loved painting and enjoying the beautiful Florida weather.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his son James T. Smith of Florida, and his siblings, William Smith of Portsmouth, and Lillian Souza of Middletown. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Eubanks.
