Pawtucket Police Searching For Armed Robbery Suspect
The Rhode Island State Police Special Response Team was called to assist in the search Tuesday night.
PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Pawtucket police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery at a hair salon on Tuesday. State police SWAT teams were called in as police attempted to arrest the suspect later that night.
According to Pawtucket Police, Dustin French, 31, robbed oMa Hair Design on Cottage Street. Later that day, police attempted to make contact with French at an Annette Street house after a person leaving the house said he was inside. Officers then formed a perimeter around the house, and a negotiator attempted to reach out to French. The Rhode Island State Police Special Response Team was then called to the scene to assist.
After several hours, the Special Response Team searched the house and were unable to find French inside.
