Providence Chase Ends With Crash In Cranston: 2 Arrested
Police found a gun and what was believed to be marijuana in the car.

PROVIDENCE, RI –Two men were arrested after an overnight chase that began in Providence and ended when their car crashed in Cranston. Anthony Todd, 26, and Trenton Lee, 25, who the Providence Journal identified as suspected Clown Town gang members, allegedly did not stop for an unmarked police car patrolling the area.
The chase began around 12:30 a.m. Friday morning when police attempted to pull over a car allegedly speeding in the Broad Street area. The vehicle did not stop and drove into Cranston, where it hit a stone wall on Narragansett Boulevard, police told WPRI.
Todd, the driver, and Lee allegedly resisted arrest and were forcibly removed from the car, the Journal reported. They were taken to the hospital with injuries to the head and face.

Police searched the vehicle and found a loaded gun on the driver's side and a bag containing what was believed to be marijuana.
Todd was charged with carrying a pistol without a license, carrying a firearm after previously convicted of a crime of violence, alteration of marks of identification on a firearm, reckless and eluding and resisting arrest.

Lee was held on two active warrants.
