PROVIDENCE, RI — A house fire in Providence Friday morning displaced 13, and several cats who were in the home are missing, according to fire officials. The fire started around 9 a.m. at a Hillcrest Avenue home. Fire officials told WPRI 12 the flames were extinguished, but not before the <a href="https://www.wpri.com/news/local-news/providence/13-displaced-cats-missing-in-providence-house-fire/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">fire damaged parts of the Providence home</a>. Fire officials were still at the scene, as of Friday afternoon. Patch reached out to the Providence Fire Department and will update this story when we know more. This is a developing story.
