Providence Man Charged With Murder In Hit-And-Run Crash

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man is facing felony charges after he killed a man in a hit-an-run crash over the weekend, Providence police said. Israel Gonzalez, 48, was charged with murder.

The crash happened on Harold Street around 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, police said. The victim, a 40-year-old man, was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital, where he died on Monday.
