Providence Man Sentenced To 30 Years For 2016 Manslaughter
Percy Abbott, 56, was sentenced to 30 years in prison, 10 to serve for the 2016 death of Sherry Price Mann.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was sentenced to 30 years in prison with 10 to serve on Monday for a 2016 charge of manslaughter. Percy Abbott, 56, pleaded no contest to one count of domestic manslaughter.
Abbott will serve a decade in prison, with the remaining 20 years suspended with probation. In addition, he will have to complete the Batterers Intervention Program.
Abbott was charged following a 2016 incident when he pushed Sherry Price Mann to the ground in her Central Falls home. She later died from her injuries in the hospital.
