PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was sentenced to 30 years in prison with 10 to serve on Monday for a 2016 charge of manslaughter. Percy Abbott, 56, pleaded no contest to one count of domestic manslaughter. Abbott will serve a decade in prison, with the remaining 20 years suspended with probation. In addition, he will have to complete the Batterers Intervention Program. Abbott was charged following a 2016 incident when he pushed Sherry Price Mann to the ground in her Central Falls home. She later died from her injuries in the hospital.
