“Attracting more companies to our state to help us grow jobs for Rhode Islanders is one of my top priorities,” said Rhode Island Governor Raimondo. “This radio campaign will help us raise awareness about the open positions at the Quonset Business Park companies as part of an effort to connect the unemployed or underemployed with new opportunities for success.”
With the addition of several new companies and growth of existing industries, there is a wide variety of jobs available. The openings include positions in engineering, mechanics, marketing, IT, and various other fields. Companies at the business park have added over 4,000 new jobs since 2005.

“Strengthening Rhode Island’s economy is a top priority for Governor Raimondo,” said Stefan Pryor, Governor Raimondo’s nominee to become Rhode Island’s first commerce secretary. “QuonsetJobs.com is a way for us to connect Quonset Business Park companies with the skilled job candidates they need. This radio campaign is another way to connect employers with potential employees.”
The QuonsetJobs.com site includes listings of companies offering jobs, along with contact phone numbers or links to help in the job hunt and application process. Content for the website is changed on a weekly basis, as jobs are filled and Quonset tenants list new openings. The page also includes links to the state Department of Labor and Training (DLT), local community information, and helpful links for both job seekers and employers.
“We take great pride in having almost 200 companies here and the more than 10,000 people working at Quonset, and we want more Rhode Islanders to join in our success,” said Steven J. King, P.E., QDC’s Managing Director. “We are dedicated to helping our businesses get the most qualified candidates hired, and we believe Rhode Island has the best workers in the nation to choose from.”
The QDC has also been partnering with the DLT since November 2014 to co-host job fairs at the Business Park on the first Wednesday of every month. The job fairs feature a variety of business park tenants looking to fill current openings, and have been attended by hundreds of job seekers.
