RI Man Accidentally Shot Himself In The Crotch: AP

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Rhode Island man was taken to the hospital last week after he accidentally shot himself on the groin, according to the Associated Press. Edward Martinez, 22, was found in the hallway of his home with no pants on, with a gunshot wound to his scrotum.

The incident happened on Thursday, the AP said. Martinez told officers he took off his pants after he fired the gun to find the wound. He was brought to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police found three guns in Martinez's bedroom, including a semi-automatic pistol on his bedside table. No criminal charges have been filed.
