CRANSTON, RI — A Pawtucket man was arrested after stealing a U.S. flag from Cranston City Hall, police said Friday.

Police said Emanuel Joia, 29, was caught on security footage stealing the American flag on Thursday morning. Joia also vandalized the city hall, according to police.

He was charged with larceny under $1,500 and vandalism/malicious injury to property.
