RI Reports 100+ Coronavirus Cases For Second Day In A Row
The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 102 new cases of coronavirus and one death.

PROVIDENCE, RI — For the second day in a row, Rhode Island reported 102 new positive cases of coronavirus, the first time the state has seen triple-digit daily numbers in weeks. At the same time as the slight uptick in cases, deaths continue to decrease, with just one fatality reported on Tuesday.
Hospital admissions remain low, as well, with the total number of hospitalizations and new admissions holding steady. As of Tuesday, 69 people were hospitalized in Rhode Island, five of whom were in an intensive care unit and three on a ventilator.
Before Monday, Rhode Island reported single-digit every day since June 10. The state has managed to "keep a lid" on the virus, in the words of Gov. Gina Raimondo, despite other states including Texas and Florida reporting record or near-record highs of new cases and hospitalizations.
