The top 25 districts in the Ocean State pay teachers at least $75,000 per year on average.

RHODE ISLAND โ€” Public school teachers in Rhode Island can make vastly different salaries, depending on which school district they work for.

While one Rhode Island district ranks in the top 200 nationwide for teachers, with Glocester Public Schools paying them in excess of $80,000 each year on average, the top 25 school districts in Rhode Island all pay their teachers on average well north of $75,000 per year, according to Niche.

The highest paid teachers in the country are in Glenbard High School District 225 in Illinois, Niche reported. That district pays its teachers an average of $103,465 per year.
