Route 2 Ramp Closure Delayed Due To Rain

WARWICK, RI — With rain in the forecast for Sunday night, Rhode Island Department of Transportation officials say a scheduled ramp closure on Route 2 in Warwick will be delayed one week. If repairs are not finished overnight, the ramp will remain closed during the day on Monday.

Starting at 6 p.m. on April 7, the ramp from Route 2 North to Route 117 will be closed for drainage repairs.

While the ramp is closed, drivers can stay on Route 2, where there will be detour signs leading to Route 113/East Avenue to get to I-95 North, then take the exit to I-95 South and choose Exit 10 A or B to get to Route 117 East or West.

During construction, the right lane of Route 2 North at Ginsu Way will be closed.
