See RI School Closings, Distance Learning Days Due To Winter Storm
Most RI school districts that have made a decision canceled school Tuesday, though some are choosing to have virtual learning days.

RHODE ISLAND โ The following Rhode Island public school districts will be either closed or have virtual learning on Tuesday because of a major winter storm that could drop more than a foot of snow on some parts of the state.

- Coventry Public Schools
- Cranston Public Schools
- Cumberland Public Schools
- East Bay Educational Collaborative, Warren
- East Providence Public Schools
- Johnston Public Schools
- Kingston Hill Academy, Saunderstown
- Middletown Public Schools
- North Kingstown Public Schools
- North Providence Public Schools
- North Smithfield Public Schools
- Narragansett Public School
- Newport Public Schools
- Pawtucket Public Schools
- Portsmouth Public Schools
- Providence Public Schools
- RI School for the Deaf, Providence
- RI Transition Academy at Roger Williams University, Bristol
- Scituate Public Schools
- The UCAP School, Providence
- Tiverton Public Schools
- Warwick Public Schools

- Central Falls Public Schools

This list will be updated as more school closings are announced in Rhode Island.
Seven to 13 inches of snow is forecasted for much of Rhode Island. Southern Rhode Island is not expected to get as much, but could still see 8 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm timing will likely be between 1 a.m. Tuesday and 1 a.m. Wednesday. According to the forecast, the heaviest snow is expected between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
