The superintendent has closed the school which will be cleaned.

CRANSTON, RI — After a bout of illnesses at Gladstone School, the state Health Department investigated and has indicated the cause may be due to norovirus or similar bug.
Schools Supt. Jeannine Nota-Masse has decided to close the school on Friday.
Although the health department didn't order the closing, it was the best course of action, she said.

"While they did not mandate that we close for the day, we thought that it was prudent to close so we can thoroughly disinfect the building. This will begin today and go through the weekend. We are also disinfecting/cleaning buses that were used to transport Gladstone children after school. Our food service vendor will be addressing their particular working areas tomorrow and thoroughly cleaning as well."
The staff do not report for work, she added.
