Teachers Agree to New Contract
This resolves a lawsuit by the Cranston Teachers' Alliance union against the School Committee over seniority roles in teacher assignments.

Cranston teachers have reached a tentative agreement with the school district on a labor contract that boosts pay by 2 percent in the next two years.
ABC6 reported that the contract provides no salary increase for the current school year. The teachers agreed to deductibles on certain health benefits.
Additionally, agreements on three-year contracts were reached for teacher assistants, bus aides and technical teacher assistants who work with students with behavioral problems.
