Teen Drives Into Pond Near Cranston Walmart In Police Chase: Reports
During the chase, the car — a Ford Escape that was reported stolen out of Glocester — also side-swept another car, reports say.
CRANSTON, RI — A Johnston 16-year-old is facing multiple delinquent charges after being accused of driving a stolen car into a pond near the Cranston Walmart during a police chase Monday, according to multiple reports.
As police attempted to stop the teen, the car "veered across lanes, left the roadway, and landed in the retention pond located on Walmart property" on Plainfield Pike around 3:20 p.m., ABC6 reported, citing Johnston police.
During the chase, the car — a Ford Escape that was reported stolen out of Glocester — also side-swept another car, according to WPRI.

No one was injured and the teen was taken into custody on charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, reckless driving/eluding, and duty to stop with an attended vehicle, both outlets reported.
