Threat Prompts Early Dismissal At Warwick Veterans Middle School
School officials said the early dismissal was out of an abundance of caution and everyone at the school is safe.
WARWICK, RI — Students at Warwick Veterans Middle School were dismissed not long after they arrived Tuesday morning following a threat. School officials say everyone is safe and students have been evacuated to the Thayer Arena ice rink for early dismissal.
The early dismissal notice was posted on the Warwick Schools social media a little before 9:30 a.m.
"A note was received that contained a threat, everyone is safe and these actions were taken, as we said, out of an abundance of caution," the post read. "Police are on the scene investigating."

Due to today’s incident students from Vets MS were evacuated to the ice rink out of an abundance of caution; the school day is ending. Dismissal is from Thayer Arena ice rink. Buses will transport bus students home. Pickup at Mickey Stevens, 975 Sandy Lane by emergency contacts.
