Top Track Champs at West Wrap Up Stellar High School Careers
Eleni Grammas, Nicole Grammas and Oceana Williams are some of the best sprinters Cranston High School West has ever seen.

On June 13, 2015 on in picturesque Saco, Maine, the outstanding high school careers of three of the best sprinters Cranston High School West has ever seen came to a triumphant close at the New England Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Only the top athletes across New England base on their performance are able to participate in this event and this is the third year in a row the trio has competed at the New England Championships.
The three seniors Eleni Grammas, Nicole Grammas and Oceana Williams and junior Sophia Cadden placed fourth in 4X100M relay at the New England Championships just a week after graduating from high school and placing second at the 2015 Rhode Island Outdoor Track and Field Championship on June 6, 2015. Oceana Williams also placed third in Rhode Island in the 100M dash and third in the 200M, which qualified her to run in the New Englandโs. Eleni Grammas also placed fourth in the 100M dash and Nicole placed fifth in the 400M in Rhode Island, which also qualified them to compete in the New England Championships.

The three senior captains Eleni Grammas, Nicole Grammas and Oceana Williams have been competing together for the past 3 years and combined hold Cranston High School West records in outdoor track in the 4X100M relay, 100M Dash, 200M, 400M & 4X400M relay, as well as indoor track in the 4X200M relay, 50M Dash, 300M, 600M & 4X400M relay. Clement Soscia their high school track coach said โit might be a very long time before we see this caliber of sprinters competing at West at the same timeโ.
In the fall, Oceana Williams will be attending Southern Connecticut State where she is planning to run track. Eleni and Nicole Grammas will be attending Rhode Island College where they are planning to play soccer and run track.
