Two RI Strippers Accused of Stealing Gun From Off-Duty Officer

The women were arrested after reportedly stealing a gun from an off-duty Boston police officer on Saturday.

PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- Two Rhode Island women were taken into custody after reportedly stealing an off-duty Boston police officer's handgun.

According to WPRI, the two women have been identified as Melissa Dacier, 22, of Providence and Neish Rivera, 25, of Pawtucket. The pair is accused of stealing the unidentified police officer's .40 caliber Glock 22 while spending time with him at a Hampton Inn late Saturday night.

Both women work as dancers, and Rivera was one of the women charged with prostitution during December's raid of the Foxy Lady Strip Club.

WPRI reports that the weapon was stolen from the unnamed officer's vehicle, where he reportedly kept it locked in his glove compartment, with the key in his cup holder. The officer gave Dacier his car keys so she could get a phone charger.

After both women stepped out of the room and never returned, the officer left to find them and reported that his gun was not in his car where he left it. Dacier and Rivera were arrested several hours later and arraigned Monday. Both were ordered held as bail violators.
