Warwick Man Found Dead: Suspect In Florida DUI And Death
Carl Greenlund, 55, of Warwick was behind the wheel of a Cadillac that slammed into a car Dustin Demers, 27, Yulee, Florida, was driving.

WARWICK, RI — Police said that a man found dead in the Pawtuxet River last week was suspected of killing a man earlier this month while driving under the influence in Yulee, Florida. Warwick police said the death appeared to be a suicide.
Carl Greenlund, 55, of Warwick was behind the wheel of a Cadillac that slammed into a car Dustin Demers, 27, Yulee, Florida, was driving. Demers died in the crash, according to WJXT in Jacksonville.
Police said Greenlund was seriously injured and rushed to the University of Florida Health Medical Center in Jacksonville.

Yulee Police were waiting on blood-test results to determine if Greenlund was drunk when the crash happened. Charges were never filed because the test results haven’t come back yet, Master Sergeant Dylan Bryan, spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol told the Providence Journal.
Police told the Providence Journal they are not sure how and when Greenlund made it back to Rhode Island.
