Off to Williamsport! Cranston Western Scores World Series Berth
It's the third Rhode Island team to earn a spot at the Little League World Series in the past five years.

The Cranston Western Little League team cruised their way to a spot in the Little League World Series on Sunday after a 10-4 romp of Bedford, N.H., at the New England Regionals in Bristol, Conn.
Nick Mason had the hit of the day with a grand slam in the top of the third. Dylan Demers followed with a solo shot. Together, they helped keep CWLL on top through seven innings of play.
The victory seemed unlikely just a few days ago when the team lost its opening game against Connecticut last week. But they never gave up and won four straight elimination games.
