Young Man Dead, 15-Year-Old Stabbed In The Back In Cranston: Reports

The teen was stabbed near the intersection of Oak and Trainor Streets just after 12 a.m. Friday, according to police.

CRANSTON, RI โ€” A 21-year-old is dead and a 15-year-old injured after the teen was stabbed in the back in Cranston around 12 a.m. Friday, according to multiple reports.

The teen was stabbed near the intersection of Oak and Trainor Streets, after which the suspect jumped in the passenger seat of a car. The driver of that car โ€” a second suspect โ€” then hit the man, WPRI reported, citing police.

Both suspects were arrested, police said.

Other people at the scene, which was described as a "large disturbance," were arrested for disorderly conduct, according to WJAR.

The circumstances of the crimes are under investigation, both outlets reported.
