Cumberland's Hotel For Homeless Dogs In Dire Need Of Emergency Fosters

"We are officially at a breaking point," the shelter posted to social media.

CUMBERLAND, RI — The Hotel For Homeless Dogs Humane Society in Cumberland has declared a "code red" as they are in dire need of fosters.

"We are officially at a breaking point," reads a post on the shelter's Facebook page.

"Within the next 48 hours, we have 14 dogs arriving with nowhere for them to go," the post said. "On top of that, dogs are continuing to return early from foster unexpectedly and every kennel we have is already full."

And to make matters worse, according to the post, the humans at the hotel for dogs have been physically taxed.

"Our staff is exhausted," the post said.

"We can’t cancel transport so if we don’t find foster homes we will have to place them into boarding somewhere," it said. "This means double the amount of work for our already tired staff and double the cost."

The post urged those approved to foster to email them at contact@hotelforhomelessdogs.com, and those not approved but willing to help to start an application on their website.
