Hope 2-0 and the volleyball squad pushing Barrington to a tight five-set loss behind standout play from Darryl Ashilaka and Alexa Ditommasso. The roundup also lists several upcoming games featuring Cumberland teams, giving local fans plenty of chances to catch home and away action soon.
• Portuguese band festival revival hailed as success. Next host selected (southcoasttoday.com) — A revived Portuguese philharmonic band festival drew eight ensembles and big crowds, including the Lusitana Band of Cumberland which helped showcase the community's musical heritage. Organizers hailed the event's camaraderie-focused atmosphere and confirmed that Saint Anthony's Band of Fall River will host the next edition in 2027, keeping the long-paused tradition moving forward.
