2015 Hill and Harbour Turkey Trot is Nov. 28

The 5th Annual Hill and Harbour Turkey Trot will be held in East Greenwich, RI, on Saturday November 28th, 2015.

The 5th annual Hill and Harbour Turkey Trot 5K will be held in the historic downtown Hill and Harbour section of East Greenwich, RI, on Saturday November 28th, 2015. This event has quickly become a family tradition for many on Thanksgiving weekend, bringing approximately 1,000 people together on race day for a number of festivities, including a fully sanctioned and certified 5K race, 1 mile fun run, music, activities for children, and refreshments.

This year’s beneficiary of the MSA Hill and Harbour Turkey Trot 5K will be The Sharing Locker. The Sharing Locker distributes products, including diapers, personal care items, first aid supplies, and cleaning products, to families in need in both Kent and Washington Counties.

Main Street Association Board Members and race organizers Amy Moore and Michelle Clark said: “Since 2011, the Turkey Trot has allowed us to give approximately $30,000 to local non-profit organizations. The Sharing Locker provides local residents with essential items not covered by food stamps or available in food pantries. We are thrilled to be able to support this important community resource with a fun, family event.”
