Inside the East Greenwich Veteran Fireman's Association (rimonthly.com) — East Greenwich's Veteran Fireman's Association keeps local firefighting history alive at its Queen Street museum, showcasing antique hand engines, hose wagons, and restored trucks that once served the town. Residents can drop in on Saturday mornings or schedule appointments to see how volunteer companies evolved into today's professional department.
   

2. East Greenwich Extends Sewer True-Up Bill to June 2027 (upriseri.com) — East Greenwich sewer customers now have until June 30, 2027 to pay a one-time "true-up" bill tied to the town's shift to quarterly sewer billing. After pushback over a Public Works letter and deduct-meter rules, the Town Council also ordered an ordinance restoring the deduct-meter program and demanded a rewritten, less punitive letter to affected residents.
   

3. State Police Turn Off EG Flock Cameras (eastgreenwichnews.com) — State police have shut off three automated license plate reader cameras on Routes 95 and 4 in East Greenwich after town officials raised concerns about privacy and lack of public review. Town Manager Andy Nota and council leaders say they were never formally consulted, while civil liberties advocates urged continued vigilance over surveillance technology in the community.
   

4. 2 Rhode Island Starbucks Closing: Reports (patch.com) — Starbucks plans to close its café at 555 Main Street in East Greenwich, one of two Rhode Island locations being shut down as part of a larger national downsizing. The move, which also affects a Warwick shop, comes despite some customers saying the stores felt newly opened and busy.
