
Troy Pierre-Louis of Providence, a senior at Rocky Hill School and co-captain of the boys’ varsity basketball team, has been awarded Southeastern New England Independent Schools Athletic Association (SENE) 2012-13 Boys Basketball Player of the Year.
Troy averaged 28 points this season, and registered his career high during the first game with 49 points in a 67-57 victory over Barrington Christian Academy. He also reached the prestigious milestone of 1,000 career points this season.
Troy has been a four-year member of the varsity basketball team and led the team in scoring for two consecutive seasons. In the 2011-12 season, Troy earned SENE Honorable Mention All-Division.

This is the first time in the school’s history that a student-athlete in any sport has won player of the year honors.
