Baseball Update
The baseball team is trailing 10-5 in the top of the 6th and will resume play at 3:45 today.

The baseball team went into last night's final four game against with a later start time than expected thanks to the lightning at McCarthy Field.
David Hopkins started off the game with a stand up double in the top of the first inning. The team showcased some final-four jitters in the bottom of the first with the Cranston West hitters coming out firing. With no outs they hit an RBI double and then projected early round MLB draft pick Jeff Diehl hit a two-run home run to take the early 3-0 lead. The Falcons kept crushing the ball with continuous RBI singles and wild pitches to open the game up with a score of 8-0 after only one inning of play.
Chris Pogue bounced back in the bottom of the second inning on the mound with a 1-2-3 inning. The Avengers began showing signs of life in the top of the third with a leadoff single up the middle by Sean Mahoney followed by another single by Jonny Lamendola. David Hopkins then had an infield hit to score Mahoney to get on the board. Dan Caron then hit an RBI single to score Lamendola to make the score 8-2. Lighting then struck again which means there is an automatic 30-minute delay at least.
