Boys Tennis Falls To Cranston West, 4-3

They had hoped to avenge their only loss so far this season, but fell short.

The EGHS Boys Tennis team lost a close one last week, to Cranston West, 3-4. The loss — against Cranston West — was bitter for the Avengers, who were hoping to avenge an earlier loss (their only one up to that point).

And it almost happened. The match was tied 3-3, with only the third doubles teams still playing. But it wasn't to be, with the doubles team of Shevy Karbasiafshar and Dylan Lo falling to Cranston West's Jason Pjojian and Chris Parnagian in a third set tie-breaker: 2-6, 6-4, 7-5.

It was a tough loss for the young team, which won the DII state championship last year but lost several players to graduation.
