I believe that students could singlehandedly keep in business if need be. That is to say, we have a problem. The school has even developed a coffee RULE to keep us in line: we’re allowed to have coffee fist period, but only if we’re on time.
You see, on any given day, it seems like 90 percent of the kids will have a coffee cup in hand, walking down the hall with that huge Hey-I-Don’t-Care-That-It's-7:30-In-The-Morning-On-A Tuesday-Because-I’m-Caffinated look on their face. This is excellent, as opposed to the ones who woke up late and didn’t have time to get their morning cup of coffee. Those? Those kids you want to stay away from. Far away.
The majority of these cups are from our very own Felicia’s, filled with their iced coffee. Now, I have never been a straight coffee person, opting for the coffee-flavored drinks as I’ve said in the past. This leads me mainly to the doors of , in the CVS plaza. However, yesterday, I manned up and tried Felicia’s iced coffee. And let me just say. It was an experience. I am a changed girl. I can now officially say that I’ve joined the ranks of Felicia’s iced coffee lovers at EGHS.

However excellent I see this change in myself to be, I do realize that it has a downside. I mean, I’m only 16! And on my way to becoming one of those coffee addicts? What have I done wrong?
To be honest, why is my school so addicted to coffee? Sure, it might make you seem more grown up. Or seem like you were up super late last night having a wild time. But when last night was a Wednesday night, and you’re a freshman toting around the super big jumbo mega-size iced coffee, we have a problem. As for me, I need to take this slow. Maybe not a coffee every day, more like twice a week. Maybe I won’t have a problem; maybe I’ll just have coffee occasionally. But then again, have you SEEN first period at my school?
