Harry Potter: The End of a Decade, but the Start of an Age
The last movie in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part two hit theaters on Friday, July 15th.

I am so excited. Still so VERY much exited. And what is the reason, this grand event, this life changing experience? Potter. Harry Potter. More specifically, I don't know about you, but I pretty much grew up with Harry, Ron and Hermione. Who cares about some sparkily vampire family when you have dementors, werewolves and death eaters?
Through seven books and eight movies, the Harry Potter dream has been kept alive. It was amazing to see, last night ... er ... morning, at the 12:10am showing of the last Harry Potter movie, the amount of dedication from the fans. Very regretably, I did not dress up. I wish I had. There were Gryffindor scarves, hats, robes, wands, glasses ... you name it. I saw many Hermiones, Harrys and Rons, and, suprisingly, about a million Luna Lovegoods. One Luna even had a stuffed lion taped to her head, reminiscent of her lion headdress in movie six. See? Devoted fans we are.
This was my first-ever midnight showing of a movie. And if you know me, I'm usually in bed by ten o'clock sharp, so I was half asleep by the time midnight rolled around. However, as the clock reached 12:05, and the lights dimmed, any clouds of sleep vacated my mind. The movie was fantastic. We laughed, we wept, we applauded. The movie theater erupted in cheers and hollers in all the right moments, such as when Neville's heroic acts saved the day. It was magical.

Although it is sad that the Harry Potter dynasty has concluded, those who were here to experience it will never forget.
